The Spring 2010 collection will feature the latest in leather handbags: the perforated leather bags. These trendy and sophisticated handbags may come in all shapes, sizes and colors, but they all have in common the fact that their decoration includes one or more pieces of perforated leather.
Most of the well known brands will be marketing their own selection of perforated leather handbags this year, and, although their overall look will be casual, the collections will also include some extremely upmarket handbags. Leather bags are being used for almost everything these days and can range from the unobtrusive clutch purse to the showy carry-all. In order to create and nurture an interest in bag design among the buying public, major brands are constantly looking for new styles that they can push into becoming international fashion trends and, this year, have chosen to market perforated leather handbags.
White, light blue, grey and light brown seem to be the major color-schemes that are going to be spotlighted in the 2010 spring collections although handbags in rich burgundy, mauve and related tones are also being marketed. The design of each of these leather bags can also alternate perforated leather with smooth leather, and the perforations themselves can also be of different sizes and shapes, which will give each bag its own distinct fashion identity.
Whether or not perforated handbags will remain in style remains to be seen and, on the whole, depends on what other enchanting styles the designers can come up with.
